(KSL News) The Khadeeja Mosque hosted the interfaith community today. Muslims Embracing Neighbors was conceived as an open house in conjunction with the Salt Lake Interfaith Roundtable's Interfaith Week.
The president of the Islamic society of Salt Lake, Tarek Nosseir, called for people to reach beyond their own religious group. He said, "Get a better understanding of who our neighbors are and a better understanding of the community we're living amongst."
Tonight's event included a recitation from the Quran and evening prayers in Arabic.
