Alex Cabrero reporting Lots of people were looking for those last-minute Mothers Day gifts today, but one mom was just looking for her son.

18-year old Diego Orellana Acevedo has been missing for more than 2 weeks now.

At this point, it seems like Orellana just plain disappeared. But since we all know that's not possible, his family and friends were busy today putting out fliers, hoping someone, somewhere. knows something.

We're all watching the price at the pump these days. But hopefully, at some gas stations, we're also looking at this picture.

Gabriela Acevedo, Diego's Mother: "Somewhere, I don't know where, but somewhere maybe somebody can see his face and maybe can bring my son back."

It's been tough times for Gabriela Acevedo. No one she knows has seen her son Diego Orellana in the past 16 days.

Gabriela Acevedo, Diego's Mother: "It's so hard for me because I'm alone. I have no family except my son and me."

But she's certainly not alone searching for him.

"It kind of takes a village to do something like this."

Close friends and members of the Latino Community are helping...

"Put as many fliers as you can."

...taping up missing posters at gas stations, street sign polls and businesses.

"You're more than welcome. Thank you very much."

Gabriela herself convinced some to put a picture of her son in their back window. A mother begging complete strangers for help.

Gabriela Acevedo, Diego's Mother: "He always was in the house, studying, watching TV, on the computer, and now nothing."

They put up fliers everywhere they could, figuring the one place they don't put up a flyer, just might be the one place that leads to a big tip.

Gabriela Acevedo, Diego's Mother: "We know he's somewhere, and we need everybody's help."

Orellana, 18 years old, is a student at Salt Lake Community College. His car was found just North of I-80 near Little America, Wyoming. Right now, those are the only facts in this case.

Gabriela Acevedo, Diego's Mother: "I'll do everything I have to do. I'll go through everywhere. He's my son. He's my only son."

West Valley police have his car now. They say they want to process it to try and find any evidence. As of right now, there's just nothing that's giving any clues.
