SALT LAKE CITY — In the history of professional basketball, there are few that have ever played who can compare to Julius Erving ("Dr. J" or "The Doctor"). Only five players have scored more than The Doctor throughout their careers.

And although I could list the many accomplishments throughout his career, it was Dr. J's explosive dunking that is seen by many as revolutionizing the way future athletes would play the game. It started in the '70s with the high-flying dunk style and has continued through the years since. Blake Griffin and LeBron James are likely the most dominant dunkers in the game today.

Today, Erving is 63 and can still dunk the ball. He may not be able to dunk the ball with the same explosiveness, but it's an impressive feat nonetheless. I still can't dunk the ball, so he's still that much better than me.

Polish puddle celebration

It's always an accomplishment when you can kick a soccer ball into the net. It's not an easy task to do when the goalie can play remarkably well. So on the slim chance a goal is made, a celebration is in order.

In a recreational soccer league in Poland, one player took his celebration to the puddles. Because of the rain, the field was completely soaked, with several large puddles interspersed throughout. After kicking the ball into the goal, the player runs up to one of the larger puddles and dives right in.

Not to be shown up, two other players decide to slide into the puddle as part of the celebration. Maybe they just needed an excuse to get even more wet. It's also another reason why they're playing in a recreational league.

Hard being short (or tall)

Comedian Kevin Hart posed for a picture with Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard. Hart, whose head reaches to about Howard's chest in the picture, looks less than amused. However, how can we be sure that he's really with Howard? After all, Howard's face is not really shown in the picture.

It's still a great picture.

So is it harder being short or tall? I guess the debate continues.
