SALT LAKE CITY — Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are headed back to theaters this weekend with "The Internship," which will mark their second film together.

The new flick got me thinking, what are the greatest comedy film duos of all time? Well, like always, I've put together a list.

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein

Now, I'll obviously get some blowback here, but that's fine. I'm basing these pairings off films that have made me laugh the most and still hold their own today.

So, here we go.

Abbott and Costello

William "Bud" Abbott and Lou Costello are arguably the most famous comedy duo in history. Their timing was perfect and their jokes are still funny.

The team had its own television and radio shows and appeared in 36 films together.

While many of their films are classics, I have to say their best is "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein." The film was one of the first mixed-genre films, and the duo is at their best.

Laurel and Hardy

Much like Abbott and Costello, you can't have a comedy duo list and leave off Laurel and Hardy.

Their slapstick humor still makes you chuckle, and you marvel at the fact that the pair made 107 films together.

Their best film is arguably "Babes in Toyland." The film won't appeal to everyone now, but film buffs and fans of the golden age of Hollywood will love it.

Stiller and Wilson

Here is a more contemporary pairing. While Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn have their second film coming out, Ben Stiller and Wilson have made ten.

The two play off one another brilliantly which is showcased in films like "Starsky and Hutch" and both "Night at the Museum" and "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian."

While most of their pairings are hilarious, I have to give the nod to "Zoolander" as their best. Both actors are hilarious and gave us some of the most quotable lines in recent memory.

Lemmon and Matthau

Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau appeared in 10 movies together, and the original "Odd Couple" is one of the best comedy duos of all time.

The neurotic Lemmon played perfectly against Matthau's curmudgeon, and we couldn't get enough of it.

While many would argue that their best pairing was when they were in their older years in "Grumpy Old Men" playing feuding neighbors, I have to give it to "The Odd Couple."

The 1968 film written by legendary playwright Neil Simon is insanely entertaining and witty. While the TV show ran for years with Jack Klugman and Tony Randall, the original with Matthau and Lemmon is undoubtedly the best odd couple pairing off all time.

Farley and Spade

Chris Farley and David Spade only appeared in three movies together, but two of them are hilarious and the other is one of the best and funniest road trip/buddy movies of all time.

Tommy Boy

Both Farley and Spade appeared in the 1993 comedy "Coneheads," but the less said about that probably the better. But just two years later in 1995 we got one of the best comedies to come from "Saturday Night Live" alums.

"Tommy Boy" became an instant fan favorite and has now turned into a bit of a classic. The pair followed that film up a year later with "Black Sheep."

While Sheep is a lot of fun and will get you laughing with some great lines, "Tommy Boy" is undoubtedly their best.

It may seem strange to include these two when they starred in so few movies together, but it makes sense when you realize their best film is one of the greatest comedies of all time. Yes, I went there — of all time.
