Randall Jeppesen reporting Plenty of groups are getting ready for the 2008 legislative session at the State Capitol. In fact, AAA already has a "to do" list for lawmakers.
As lawmakers made their way back to the Capital building this morning, so did the lobbyists.
Rolayne Fairclough, with AAA, says AAA has several bills it will be pushing, including one that always causes a stir. "We want to make sure the primary seat belt bill gets a good hearing and hopefully will pass this year," she said.
AAA also will be pushing for a booster seat bill, an anonymous reporting system for elderly or impaired drivers, and it wants boaters to take some sort of safety training before hitting the lakes.
