(KSL News) -- A potentially explosive situation in Bountiful was carefully diverted.
A tanker carrying thousands of gallons of butane flipped on its side as the driver rounded a corner. Officials believe a tire went over the curb and blew out the axel.
Hazmat crews shut down a half mile radius and evacuated several businesses as a precaution.
Nothing is leaking, but they fear the tank or pressurized butane will explode.
Crews are now pumping out 33-hundred gallons of butane and putting it into another tanker.
