(KSL News) -- A TRAX train hit an elderly man in downtown Salt Lake this afternoon.
Police tell us the 86-year-old man was in the crosswalk on Main Street by Crossroads Mall.
He apparently didn't see the train coming.
The train's conductor saw the man, sounded its horn, and slammed on its brakes, and did stop. It's not clear yet whether the train actually hit the man or if he got scared and fell down.
He suffered fairly minor injuries and was taken to LDS Hospital.
