SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Governor Huntsman unveils a new plan to help combat obesity in Utah.
The 54-page plan encourages healthier eating habits, more active lifestyles and better community support.
According to a report, obesity rates can be as high as 17 percent in children and 22 percent in adults.
A spokeswoman for the Utah Department of Health says the goal is by 2010 they hope to decrease youth overweight rates and see no increase in adult obesity rates.
She says they want everybody to assume active roles of leadership to help make the healthy choice the easy choice.
