This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

The name Huntsman bears great significance for every Utahn. The Jon M. Huntsman family has done so very much for the people of this state. Jon Sr. is a most honored and successful business leader. His success has generated great benefits for the arts, education, health care, the needy and homeless and for the image of Utah.

We are all familiar with the Huntsman Cancer Institute, the Huntsman Senior Games, the Huntsman Center at the University of Utah, the Huntsman Environmental Research Center and other important causes.

In December, another of Jon and Karen Huntsman's major contributions to Utah's education community was announced — The Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. The Huntsmans' $26 million gift, the school's largest donation to date, will help fund the School of Business, with about $1 million used as scholarship support for USU students from Armenia.

University president Stan L. Albrecht made the announcement at a special luncheon attended by government, religious, educational and civic leaders. President Albrecht said, "The impact of this generous gift will be felt not only by the College of Business but by the entire university. The Jon M. Huntsman School of Business will help our students prepare to become tomorrow's leaders - locally, regionally, nationally and globally."

Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman Jr., USU Business Dean Douglas Anderson, and Thomas Gerrity, former dean of the Wharton School of Business, were among the speakers at the event.

Utah is proud of Jon M. Huntsman, one of the nation's outstanding leaders and philanthropists. Thank you, Jon, for all you have done for us!

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
