HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah (AP) -- Hill Air Force Base has said goodbye to one of its leaders and welcomed another into a brand new role.
Col. Scott Chambers passed command of the 75th Air Base Wing to Col. Linda Medler on Friday. The 75th Air Base Wing is one of four wings under the Ogden Air Logistics Center. It supports Air and Space Expeditionary Forces operations and has responsibility for the operation of the Utah Test and Training Range.
Chambers relinquished his position as commander of the wing as he heads to Washington, D.C., where he will work in the Pentagon's Air Force Logistics Engine Room.
For the past two years, Medler has served directly under Chambers as vice commander of the wing.
