(KSL News) -- An Indiana woman who helped clean up a homicide scene last year in downtown Salt Lake City is being punished for obstructing justice.
Phyllis Marie Scott was sentenced to probation, substance-abuse treatment and 159 days in jail, which she has already served.
Scott confessed she cleaned up blood and disposed of bloody clothing after Donald Joseph was stabbed to death during a fight with another man.
Scott's attorney argued Scott did not witness the stabbing and had no idea that she was cleaning up a crime scene.
