(KSL News) Fire forces a Sandy family from their home overnight.
Officials say the family discovered the fire after one of the daughters saw smoke coming through a vent of the home near 9000 South and 1800 East.
The fire was burning in the attic, and crews had to go through the roof to put it out.
The cause of the fire is unknown. Damage is estimated at $30,000.
