SALT LAKE CITY - A disease that many mainstream doctors say is easily diagnosed and treated is just as easily missed.
Lyme disease is often mistaken for other diseases such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and adrenal fatigue. It can also be dismissed and left untreated because the standard blood test comes back negative.
Lyme disease starts with the bite of an infected tick and can be treated with an aggressive form of antibiotic if diagnosed early on.
It's most common in the eastern part of the U.S., but has been found in Utah ticks as well.
