The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates more than 300,000 Afghanistan war veterans will leave the military each year for the next four years. Many of these veterans are our brothers, sisters, friends, neighbors who will be looking for a job outside the military.
But the unemployment rate for veterans remains above the national unemployment rate. At its highest, 12% in 2011. Now, just under 10%.
