SANDY — Police are still looking for the suspects in the murder of a Sandy couple who were found dead inside their home last month.
Police say the bodies of Ralph Salazar and his girlfriend Alice Griego were found in a fire inside their master bedroom. A few days later, investigators revealed the couple had died from gunshot wounds before the fire was set.
Family members say they're sure somebody out there knows something, and they're hoping they'll come forward. Family said both Salazar and Griego were known for their outgoing, hardworking nature.
Salazar's neice, Lisa DeHerrera, said Salazar was "very generous, very kind-hearted. He would bring something special to every situation"
DeHerrera described Salazar as a successful business owner who took time to form unique family bonds.
"Uncle Ralph was extremely charismatic," she said. "He had a way of making you feel important. He wanted to know about you; he wanted to listen to you."
His girlfriend, Alice Griego, "was such a beautiful, strong woman," according to Griego's son, Frank Sisneros. "She was a good mom."
Griego spent much of her life as a single mother to five children. Sisneros said she was always supportive, even through tough times.

It's been more than a month since the killings, and police are not releasing information about a possible motive or suspects in the case. And that leaves the family waiting for answers.Salazar, and Griego were found inside their Sandy area home December 14, shot to death, their bodies burned. The way they were killed seems unimaginable to those closest to them.
"There's no reason anyone close to him can think of that somebody would do something this horrific to him," DeHerrera said.
Both DeHerrera and Sisneros are hoping someone will come forward with information. Right now, investigators are keeping pretty quiet on what they may or may not have on the case.
