HERRIMAN — A domestic dispute became potentially life threatening Saturday night after a man stabbed his wife in the arm during an argument.
The incident took place at about 9 p.m. at the Timber Gates apparments at 5605 W. 11830 South. The couple's four children were in the home at the time, said Lt. Justin Hoyal with Unified Police.
At some point, Dean Heyborne got hold of a knife and stabbed his wife in the arm.
Hoyal said the woman took her children to a Chevron accross the street and called for help.
Heyborne was not at the home when police arrived. He was later involved in a minor traffic accident. Police were then able to find his location and arrest him.
Heyborne was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on investigation of aggravated assault and domestic violence in the presence of a child, both 3rd degree felonies.
