(KSL News) Orem police arrested a man who flagged them down while under the influence.
David Ellerman, 39, pulled up along side an officer in a patrol car and motioned to the officer to roll down his window.
He then told the officer he wanted to discuss a DUI arrest from a long time ago. The officer noticed Ellerman had droopy eyes and slurred speech.
The officer motioned for him to pull into the University Mall parking lot where they could meet.
Ellerman followed the orders immediately, running a red light en route.
When the two arrived in the parking lot, the officer arrested Ellerman on suspicion for driving under the influence of prescription drugs.
