(KSL News) A 22-year-old woman is behind bars today after attempting to rob a pharmacy and trying to escape from a second-story window.
Police say Valerie Martin walked into the Rite-Aid pharmacy at 150 N. 900 West yesterday and handed the manager a note.
The note demanded Oxycontin and threatened use of a knife.
Store security showed up and took Martin into custody on the second floor. When police arrived, she attempted to jump from a window but was caught before falling.
She's now in the Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of robbery and drug possession.
