(KSL News) Six new graduates of a youth drug and alcohol prevention program were recognized today for rebuilding a vandalized garage and rebuilding themselves.

The substance prevention program was designed by Youthworks, a Salt Lake organization determined to keep teens off the streets through projects that rebuild homes in blighted neighborhoods.
The teens built the garage from the ground up and passed the framing inspection on the first try. In the process, they learned about teamwork, social interaction and what it takes to keep a job.
