PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Hundreds of Utahns are expected to show up this weekend at a demonstration against child soldiers in Uganda.
The 12-hour demonstration is called Global Night Commute. It will be held for Uganda kids believed to be kidnapped from their homes to fight in the African nation's civil war.
The demonstration will be held on Saturday at Farrer Elementary School, starting at 7:30 p-m and continuing until seven o'clock Sunday morning.
Students at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley State College hope this weekend's demonstration raises awareness about the situation.
Similar events will be held in 130 cities across the world.
