DRAPER — Two cars slid off the road Monday morning in West Jordan, sending multiple people to the hospital.
A woman had been driving eastbound on 11400 South and lost control when her vehicle apparently hit ice on the road near 700 West, sending her vehicle sliding into the river.
Shortly after that, a second SUV crashed near the same spot in an unrelated accident, hitting the median and landing on its roof in the westbound lanes.
The woman from the first vehicle and a couple from the second vehicle were all taken to the hospital. There was no word on their condition as of Monday morning, but Sgt. Clint Fackrell with the Draper Police Department said their injuries appeared to be minor.
Police do not think drugs or alcohol were involved.
