(KSL News) Students at Lone Peak High School are enduring the cold with a heart-warming effort.
They will sit outside in the cold until they raise $10,000 for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Even the principal plans to show his support by sleeping on the roof until the money is raised.
Makenzie Pedersen, the student body service chairman, said, "We figure it's a small price to pay if we earn money for these cancer patients and help out their families."
The fundraiser is in honor of Jason Long, a former student who died from Leukemia.
