SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The man accused of stealing several artifacts including rare Mormon scriptures from a museum now faces several charges.
Forty-eight-year-old Robert M. Lindsay of Magna has been charged with second-degree theft, two counts of third-degree theft, burglary and criminal mischief.
Court documents says he admitted to stealing the medals, artifacts and two antique clocks from the Pioneer Memorial Museum in Salt Lake City.
Earlier this month, authorities say Lindsay also allegedly stole 13 rare editions of the Book of Mormon and one rare copy of the Doctrine and Covenants.
All the missing items have since been recovered.
