(KSL News) The man charged with raping an elderly woman in a care center will be tried by a jury.

Jacob Bolith is charged with first-degree felony rape, second-degree felony forcible sex abuse, and class A misdemeanor lewdness.

Bolith worked as a certified nurse's aide at St. Joseph Villa in Salt Lake City, even though his license was revoked. On July 1 he allegedly attacked an 85-year-old patient.

He's currently being held in the Salt Lake County Jail on $250,000 bail. A trial date is set for April 1 and 2.
