SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The boy killed over the weekend after he got caught in a swing set chain in his backyard has now been identified.
Police say the boy was four-year-old Wesley Cowan. Officers say the boy was playing alone in the backyard. But when his mother went to check on him, she found him hanging from a swing.
It happened Sunday night in Salt Lake City. The child was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say the death appears to be accidental.
Officials say Wesley was the son of ABC 4 News reporter, Reed Cowan.
