MLB Scoring a Home Run With Apple’s Passbook

Fans who like to keep their ticket stubs to memorialize an event or momentous occasion at a big game may need to start buying T-shirts. More and more sports fans are using electronic tickets, giving them access to the stadium with a simple swipe of their smartphone.
Major League Baseball tested fan's reactions to Apple's new Passbook app by introducing it in the final two weeks of the regular season to four teams. Twelve percent of single-game tickets purchased in that two-week span were stored to Passbook.
