SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah is about to have its first major winter storm of the season.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for southwestern and central Utah, stretching from Zion Canyon to Nephi.

The mountains in those regions could see 6 to 10 inches of snow.

A snow advisory was issued for the Wasatch Front, which could see two to four inches of snow this afternoon and more overnight and into tomorrow.

A flash flood watch is in effect for southern Utah.
