SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Wasatch Front made it through the weekend without major runoff problems, and the National Weather Service expects a cooling trend the first few days this week to keep flood dangers low.
The next period to be concerned about is this coming weekend, when higher temperatures and rain showers could increase water levels in area rivers and creeks, said National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Young.
Waterways considered most likely to overflow their banks sometime soon are Emigration Creek and the Blacksmith Fork and Weber rivers. The Bear and Ogden rivers also are being watched.
