We are kicking off election debates today with the candidates hoping to become congressman in the 2nd District. Congressman Jim Matheson held that seat but opted this year to run in the new 4th District. The boundaries for the 2nd District have shifted to the western part of the state. So new boundaries and two new candidates for the sea, Republican Chris Stewart and Democrat Jay Seegmiller.

Information about voter registration is arriving in mail boxes. A lot of people in Utah choose to vote straight ticket. This week Doug Wright offers his opinion on why people should reconsider that approach.
