LOGAN — The Logan Grizzlies have been hit by the injury bug this season. They have lost nine starters to injury including four in Friday's game against Bountiful. Those injuries didn't prevent them from shocking the 2nd ranked Braves 35-14.

The win impressed 4A coaches so much the Grizzlies move from unranked to 2nd in the latest 4A poll.

Five games to watch this week
Game Night Live "Game of the Week" Sky View at No. 4 Woods Cross Friday 7pm
Woods Cross is starting to look like a contender, even in the very deep and difficult region 6. Before a big showdown with East on September 14 the Wildcats face a tough battle with Sky View. The Bobcats have an impressive win over Hunter and played tough against a very good Brighton team on Friday. No. 5 Dixie at Pine View Friday 7pm
This is a huge match-up as Region 9 play begins in St. George. Both of these teams believe they have what it takes to challenge Hurricane in Region 9. The winner of this game will emerge as the team with the best chance to do so. No. 4 Syracuse vs. Box Elder (at Weber State) Friday 5pm
Don't go to this game expecting a lot of points to be scored. Box Elder is yet to allow a single point in three games. Syracuse has only given up 13. The first team to score might win. No. 3 Spanish Fork at No. 2 Logan Thursday 6pm
If you are a 3A team that has to travel to Cache Valley to play the Grizzlies this may be the best time. Logan has lost 9 starters to injury but then again it didn't keep them from pulling off the most impressive win of the week. Spanish Fork would make a huge statement with a road win. No. 3 Millard at No. 4 South Summit
Most would consider San Juan and Manti as the top contenders in 2A but these two teams would like to think the same. The winner of this match-up of ranked teams will be able to make a good case that they belong in that conversation. This one of just two meetings this week between ranked teams.

East is still No. 1 and Timpview remains No. 3 after their thrilling win at Lone Peak. Woods Cross moves up one spot after getting a win over a very good Mountain Crest team and Herriman drops one spot to No. 5.

The 5A poll remains unchanged. Jordan was tested against East in a game that was suspended late in the 3rd quarter due to an electrical fire at the East Stadium. No. 2 Alta had no trouble with Olympus, 38-15. Bingham represented Utah well in the Beehive Classic defeating three-time defending state champion Valor Christian of Colorado who are ranked 2nd in Colorado's 5A classification.

Syracuse and Northridge remain No. 4 and No. 5 in the poll respectively.

There are no changes in 3A as Hurricane remains No. 1 followed by Juan Diego, Spanish Fork, Stansbury and Dixie.

Spanish Fork faces a huge test as they travel to Logan this week while Dixie will face off against rival Pine View as Region 9 play begins.

There is a big change at the top in 2A as the San Juan Broncos are the new No. 1. They posted an impressive road win crushing South Sevier 41-6. Defending state champion Manti drops to No. 2 after escaping Emery with a 15-14 victory Friday.

Millard is No. 3 followed by South Summit at No. 4. These two teams will clash on Friday night in Kamas.

Emery remains No. 5 in the poll after almost pulling off the upset of the week.

Monticello moves up to No. 2 after knocking off previous No. 2 Layton Christian 34-0 on the road. Duchesne is still No. 1 with Rich moving up to No. 3, Summit Academy moving up to No. 4 and Layton Christian dropping to No. 5.
