ASPEN, Utah (AP) -- Wasatch County officials have turned down a petition to incorporate the town of Aspen.
An Arizona developer submitted the plans to incorporate Nov. 4, seeking to build a world-class town and ski resort in Daniel's Canyon. But residents beat the developer to the punch with their own petition -- annexing into the nearby town of Daniel.
A legal battle could be next. The developer is challenging the validity of the citizen petition.
