EUGENE, Ore. — The Korean music video "Gangnam Style" has taken over the web and gained more than 100 million views on YouTube. The video is being parodied by just about everybody and now it's the Oregon Duck's turn. Yes, students helped out, but when I say the Oregon Duck I literally mean the Oregon Duck.
The mascot took on the "Gangnam Style" video and totally made it his own. The original video leaves you speechless and wondering, "What did I just watch?" The Oregon video leaves you asking, "Why is it only four minutes long?"
It's bizarre and awesome. There's something about watching a six-foot duck dancing to a Korean pop song that just screams entertainment.
Yankees Can't Pole Dance
Let's stick with sports and dancing shall we?
This YouTube video popped up of what appears to be some kind of tailgate party for a Yankees game in the Bronx. I'm not really sure what is going on, but a couple of dudes are dancing. Wait, I'm not sure I'd call that dancing, but we'll call it dancing to make it easier. Anyway, this guy is dancing and when the crowd seems to get into it he decides to pull out the big guns.
The Yankee fan grabs a nearby pole and tries to swing on it, giving the crowd what they want. Well, he didn't test the durability of the pole before hand and he gave the fans exactly what they wanted, a good laugh.
The pole totally gives way and the guy tumbles a good five feet to the ground. The guy clearly has some great buddies because according to the commentary they paid him to get up there and then when he takes the dive they make no effort to help out.
Maybe this guy's tumble was the start of the Yankees downfall.
Amazing Triple-A Catch
The Triple-A ball club the Pawtucket Red Sox are faring better than their major league counterparts. Pawtucket has one of the best records in Triple-A ball and the Boston Red Sox currently have under a .500 record.
When you see highlights like this one you can see why Pawtucket seems to be in a better spot than Boston.
Outfielder Jason Repko took off after a deep ball to left field and dove over the fence to make the grab. Repko hit the ground pretty hard, but he popped back up, showed off the ball and trotted back onto the field.
With highlight reel moments like this maybe Bobby V and the big boys in Boston should start asking Pawtucket for some help.
