(KSL News) -- It was a bad morning for Westview Apartment Residents when they discovered 140 cars in the parking lot had slashed tires.
Police say vandals did it and it's thousands of dollars worth of damage.
Police say tires were slashed in other subdivisions between 2200 and 2700 South and 8800 and 8600 South.
Two of the vandalized vehicles were vans owned by Salt Lake County.
Damage estimates are between 10 and 15 thousand dollars.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
