(KSL News) The Utah Department of Transportation is getting some national recognition for one of its safety programs.
UDOT was honored for its Safe Neighborhood Access Program, or SNAP. It's a computer program that allows users to design a safe walking route map to school.
The goal is to get students to school without having to dodge cars.
The Roadway Safety Foundation also recognized 11 other states for safety efforts.
