(KSL News) Utah's population grew by 10 people every hour in the last year reaching a total 2,699,554 persons in 2007
According to the Utah Population Estimates Committee, the number of people in the state grew by 3.2 percent between July 2006 and July 2007. That's an increase of around 84,000 people, or roughly the population of Ogden.
Many of the new additions moved here from out of state, but more than half were part of a massive baby boom. More than 53,000 children were born in the state, setting a new state record.
