WASHINGTON (AP) -- U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts is praising the work of his counterpart on the Utah Supreme Court, Christine Durham.

Durham is the first female chief justice on Utah's high court and was awarded the 2007 William H. Rehnquist Award for Judicial Excellence by the National Center for State Courts. It's a prestigious award noting her work to improve education in the judicial branch.

Durham says she is humbled by the award.
