Amanda Butterfield reporting A 15-year-old girl who should have arrived in Utah a week ago is now safe at home, thanks to a concerned woman and the Internet.

Syracuse police are no longer looking for Emily Graeber. They were looking for her because she was supposed to arrive in Syracuse one week ago today, but she never made it. Graeber is now back in St. Louis with her family.

Graeber is a patient at the Island View Residential Treatment Center in Syracuse, a place for teens with emotional and psychological problems. Emily went to Missouri on a home visit and was scheduled to come back to Utah on October 27, but instead she stayed on the plane headed for California and for the last week has been living off the kindness of strangers in San Francisco.

Her family is relieved she's home with them. Emily's cousin, Julie Ettinger, said, "The ability to find a runaway and for a story to run out so wonderfully because really, it could have gone really bad. So we're grateful."

Graeber was found by the Shaun Hornbeck Foundation, an organization in honor of Shawn Hornbeck. Hornbeck was kidnapped in 2002 in Missouri while riding his bike, but his family and volunteers never stopped looking for him. He was found alive four and a half years later, along with another missing boy.

A concerned person who met Emily in San Francisco searched for her name online and saw the 'Shawn Alert' for Emily. That person then called the Foundation to report where she was.
