(KSL News) A man who pleaded guilty to shooting his co-worker with a nail gun will spend up to five years in prison.
Pedro Contreras-Cruz pleaded to a reduced charge of aggravated assault for shooting Mario Padilla while working in Saratoga Springs.
He then took off, which his lawyer says he did because he was afraid.
Contreras-Cruz still insists the shooting was an accident, but a judge says his plea indicates otherwise.
He will be deported after his prison time.
