(KSL News) The first of three public hearings on the proposed Mountain View Corridor was held tonight.

Plans were laid out for the eight-lane freeway and transit system UDOT wants to build in the south end of Salt Lake County and the north end of Utah County.

The draft environmental impact statement on the project also was unveiled.

There are two more public hearings:

Thursday November 15
Willow Creek Middle School
Lehi
4 to 8 p.m. Saturday November 17
Copper Hills High School
West Jordan
2 to 6 pm
