OREM — An Orem woman asked for help in moving to a new house. What she got instead was people driving off with her stuff.
The woman needed some people to help lift some heavy items. "(She) asked a friend of a friend of a friend," Sgt. Craig Martinez said. "She needed a couple trucks in between here and her home."
Martinez says the friend of a friend of a friend rounded up some guys and trucks and they loaded up the items. But one of the trucks loaded with her stuff took off.
"She gets to her place in Pleasant Grove and it's gone," Martinez said.
Some of the stolen items include a TV, computer, Xbox, DVD player and other electronics. Police are trying to track down those who helped with the move.
