(KSL News) A fire shut down I-80 last night for two hours, backing up traffic through Echo Canyon.

Officials say a tire on a semi popped. The next thing the driver knew, his trailer was on fire.

A water truck was called in but couldn't make its way past the traffic jam. Officials closed the other side of the freeway so the truck could get to the scene.

No one was injured.
