Gabrielle Ernest of Bountiful, Utah has been involved with humanitarian work since she was 11. As a teenager her mother took her on a mission to Africa. She has never been the same since.
At age 19, Gabrielle and her mother started a non-profit organization called, Education for Generations. Their mission is to support and provide economical, social and learning opportunities for underprivileged families and communities domestically and internationally to enhance their lives, which will impact their future generations.
The Ernest women started their efforts to change lives by providing a scholarship for Carolyne Ashiono of Kenya. After graduating from LDS Business College, Carolyne returned to her native Kenya to teach children.
The Education for Generations foundation is now working with Carolyne to build a girls' school in the rural part of Kenya. They believe that if they equip those young women with the right education, it will help unlock their potential to greatness and influence their future families.
