Randall Jeppesen, KSL Newsradio You've probably heard of Wikipedia, the user-created online encyclopedia, but now Utah Valley State College has its own version called "UV Wiki."
Anyone can use UV Wiki. You create a user account, login, and then post something.
Web Resource Director Anne Arendt says they wanted a way that students and staff could share information about school, how to use the library or whatever. "The one area that's been posted so far, actually, is on hiking trails. And then on food: Where's a good place to eat," she said.
The week-old wiki has about 300 users. Arendt hopes that soon will become thousands, but the wiki isn't completely an open forum. There are rules, like no bad-talking a teacher.
She says this wiki is an experiment, and they're going to sit back and see where it goes.
