(KSL News) The body of a Utah soldier killed in Afghanistan will be returning home today.

Staff Sgt. Larry Rougle was killed one week ago by enemy fire. He was patrolling the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan in the Kunar province.

Rougle was on his third tour in Afghanistan. He'd also served two tours in Iraq.

Rougle grew up in Salt Lake and leaves behind a wife and a 3-year-old daughter. He is the sixth Utah to be killed in Afghanistan since 2001.

A memorial service is scheduled for Nov. 1.
