(KSL News) A plane made an emergency landing in a field near the New Bingham Highway today.
David Shuman took a picture of a Cessna landing in a field near 5600 West. Apparently, the door on the engine compartment kept coming open.
Shuman said, "Well, when I first saw it, it was scary to see him come down. But when I got there and they were just like, 'It's a small problem, no big deal,' I was just like, 'Cool, this is awesome.'"
Shuman and the pilots decided the safest runway was the road. So Shuman stopped traffic and the plane took off back to airport Number Two.
