(KSL News) A passenger car collided with a semi truck on State Road 201 this morning causing quite a mess on the road.
According to Utah Highway Patrol investigators, the driver of a passenger car ran a stop sign and hit the side of a semi truck.
The truck jackknifed, but luckily no one was seriously hurt. Sgt. Brian Smith, Utah Highway Patrol, says, "[The driver] didn't notice the stop sign. Just thought he had room to beat the semi and tried to beat the semi to go eastbound on 201."
Eastbound 201 was closed at I-80 and westbound 201 was closed at State Road 202.
Investigators say fatigue and inattentive driving may have contributed to the accident.
