(KSL News) A man accused in a fatal beating in Neff's Canyon is expected in court today.

Prosecutors say 18-year-old Christopher Hewitt pummeled Ben Perkins-Link and Seth Coleman with a metal pole back in August.

Coleman survived, but Perkins-Link was dead at the scene when police arrived.

In September prosecutors charged Hewitt with first-degree criminal homicide and second-degree attempted criminal homicide.

He is due in court today for a preliminary hearing.
