FILLMORE, Utah (AP) -- A college student is dead and another critically injured after an accident on Interstate-15.

The Utah Highway Patrol says a sport utility vehicle full of students returning to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles rolled around 3:30 a.m. today near Fillmore.

The patrol says the driver apparently fell asleep, then overcorrected and the SUV rolled off of the road.

19-year-old Samuel Wasson of Portland, Ore., was a passenger in the back of the Infinity Q30 and was thrown from the vehicle. He was killed in the accident. Another passenger was also thrown from the SUV and was flown to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo in critical condition.

The driver and two other passengers were wearing seatbelts and survived the crash.

Troopers say there was at least one open container of alcohol in the SUV and investigators were trying to determine if that was a factor in the crash.

UHP says the students were on their way back from a trip to Wyoming.
