(KSL News) Salt Lake International Airport is about to get bigger.
Department of Airports leaders have completed a contract to purchase more than 300 acres of land west of the airport.
They say the land will act as a buffer zone, keeping property developments from getting too close to the airport. It will also allow the airport to expand in the future.
