Randall Jeppesen, KSL NewsradioA truck carrying 44,000 pounds of cheese caught fire in Provo Canyon this morning.
The trucks tires ignited after some of the brakes overheated.
The cab and part of the semi truck trailer are a burned blackened mess. The driver is OK. Larry Pederson spent hours trying to clean up the mess and save the precious cargo.
He says even though some of the cheese kegs are a bit blackened on the outside, he hopes the cheese on the inside is OK and not a melted mess.
